We’re excited to share something new for this growing season: the Sugarshack Local Mushroom Club!
This year the farm stand will not be open to the public.
However, we’re opening up the Sugarshack Mushroom Local Mushroom Club, which is a simple way to pre-order fresh mushrooms directly from the farm for regular pickup through the season.
The season runs from June 20 through November. A list of all pick up days can be viewed on our website. Pickup is on our farm, Saturday 9am - 5pm.
This kind of setup helps us in a big way. Farming mushrooms is a careful process. We plan substrate, incubation space, fruiting room space, labor, harvest windows, and market days around what we think people will need. When orders are reserved ahead of time, it allows the whole farm to operate more efficiently, and provides greater freshness and quality to our customers.
We’re really grateful for the people around us who keep showing up for local food, small farms, and the strange, beautiful work of growing mushrooms. The Local Mushroom Club is a way of making sure our community members have a way to get our mushrooms directly from us, and at the local discount.
If you want our fresh mushrooms through the season, this is the easiest way to make sure they’re set aside for you.

Important Additional Info:
Pickup will happen on Saturdays between 10am - 5pm only. Pickup is on our farm in New Paltz, address provided upon registration. Because everything is harvested, packed, and held specifically for each person, all orders must be prepaid. If your mushrooms are not picked up on your selected Saturday, they will be donated. There are no exceptions to this policy. We want to be very clear about that from the start so the system can stay fair, efficient, and waste-conscious for everyone. If you cannot pick up on a given week, you are welcome to have a friend or family member pick it up. We’ll send you a reminder three days in advance, so it’s easy to keep track of what’s coming.
Once your order is placed, it cannot be changed. Because we are using these orders to plan production, harvests, packing, and pickup weeks, we need everyone’s selections to stay fixed after checkout. Please take a little time before placing your order to make sure your mushroom choices, amounts, and pickup schedule are correct. Everything is reserved and prepaid ahead of time so we can plan our growing season with more clarity, and you can count on having beautiful fresh mushrooms waiting for you.
3. Orders for the full season must be placed by June 15. Orders after that will still be accepted, but naturally will include less pickups with a prorated price.
4. In the unlikely event that we have a crop failure of some sort, and you selected a single mushroom variety for your preference it will be substituted with another variety.
