Shiitake Cultivation: recommended wood types maple, oak, beech
Plug Spawn is intended for inoculating logs. Full myceliation of logs will occur faster with a higher rate of plugs used per log.
100 count is good for approximately 1 -2 logs
500 count is good for approximately 5 - 10 logs
Sawdust Spawn is intended for log inoculation on a larger scale, quantity can reliably be used for 10 or more logs.
Grain Spawn is intended for straw and wood chip bed cultivation or more advanced methods of indoor cultivation, it is not recommended for log inoculation.
